Our story
Why the group opened a unit for local orders.
Essential Apparel Group works with export buyers. Local buyers need something different: small runs, quick answers on WhatsApp, and printing done in the same place as sewing.
Essential Garments was set up for them. One factory in Khilkhet, Dhaka, with cutting, in-house screen printing, sewing, finishing and packing under one roof — and a minimum of 50 pieces per style.
The group was founded in 2010 by Tasiqul Haq, who still leads it as CEO. It began with three sewing machines and now runs every step itself, from cutting to packing.

Essential Apparel Group is the manufacturing parent company, with its head office in Uttara, Dhaka. Its US-registered arm, Essential Apparel LLC, looks after overseas clients.
